Embriq´s infrastructure for AMI is a flexible and powerful communications solution.

With our infrastructure, various forms of communication can be used such as radio, GPRS, PLC, fiber or other transportation methods. This means that Embriq will be able to collect measurements from any type of meter regardless of the technology.

Embriq´s solution consists of meters, modems, repeaters and concentrators, which together ensure that the meter data is transferred to the AMS platform in the operation center. Our infrastructure ensures that the meter data is always consistent, accurate and real-time when it is added to the customer meter database.

There is great emphasis on our communication modems as they are able to self correct and automatically restart if it stops functioning. They can also be controlled remotely and restarted from the central system. Moreover, it is important that there is intelligence out of the concentrator so that they automatically take a new reading if a measurement does not meet the specified quality requirements. It is also important that the customer or we have continuous contact with all units in the AMI infrastructure and as soon as possible to implement error correction and, ultimately, any fix in the field.

The infrastructure enables the customer to add in retrospect other type meters such as water, district heating and gas to the existing network.
